I am just trying to get better at running and be more consistent.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run a marathon in 2011 and one day run Boston....I might have to wait until I'm in the 85 year old division to qualify but gosh darn it I will qualify!  

Personal:

 David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. 

I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life!

Took Grant out in the stroller. He loved it! It's been so nice, I hope it stays that way! Do you ever have those runs where you just keep looking at your watch like every .10 miles? Yep that was today!

Nine LOOONG miles pushing Grant in the stroller! Yep the stroller! It was kind of windy...felt a LOT more windy than it probably was! Grant was such a trooper, he was a little sad when we passed by the kids at the playground but nothing a little box of raisins couldn't fix! These times are beyond pathetic but I don't even care one bit!

Aerobics this morning...killer and then a 3 mile run on the treadmill. 

 Just signed up for UV MARATHON!!! I feel like I'm about to get struck with knee pain or shin splints now that I just paid all the money!

I did 7 miles with Grant in the stroller. It took like an hour longer because we had to stop and pet every dog this side of the Mississippi! I saw David's car drive by and decided to run back home and drop Grant off so I could finish the last 3 miles. Can you tell which miles I didn't have Grant? hum....me neither! I wish I could get faster!

Got up at 6:30 today to make sure I could get my run in before I had to be at the church. It was pretty chilly but it could have been worse. We spent the day at the zoo-we had a great time!

Had my second interview at 24 Hour Fitness today! I would LOVE the opportunity to work there but they are wanting to hire full-time so I'd be shocked if I actually got the job. Oh well, it will all work out, it always does! 

Took Grant out for a quick 3 mile run-he zonked out about 5 minutes into it. Lucky for me he is still sleeping in his crib....knock on wood! On my run my ipod pooped out and my Garmin was off a little. I'm planning on lifting/core work tonight and also getting things ready for aerobics this week-new routines!

Took Grant out with me. He only lasted 3 miles---we passed by a park with lots of kids so of course he wanted to go play instead. David met us at the park and I was able to finish my run while the boys played.

I GOT A JOB.....kind of. 24 Hour wants to hire me but they can't bring me on until June. I could try another branch but there isn't anything terribly close and I really like the gym I originally interviewed with. I might just do my own thing for a while and see what happens when June hits! I'm really excited to get started!

Ran 4 miles while my dad watched the kids at the park. Met up with my sister and ran 1.5 miles then finished the run with my niece.

We headed up to Reunion as a family for this run. David and Grant played at the park while I ran. I felt like I cheated- I ran 3 miles then took a 3 min break to watch Grant/drink some gaterade, ran 3 more took another break. Got up to 8.5 miles then met up with David and Grant and we drove back to our neighborhood where I finished up. I hurt so bad. That ride in the car made me TIGHT! 

While on vacation I ate horrible, slept horrible and didn't drink enough water. I feel good about my times today but I wish I wouldn't have stopped so much. I need to start stretchign my hips and hammies more. Oh and tighten up those bun cakes! There is a half this weekend that I would really like to do and see how my pace is.

Just woke up from a nap with David. It felt so great to have all 3 of asleep at the same time!!! Off to play.....

HA! I tried to do speedwork today. I have no clue what I am doing;) It was fun to try something different though. I just ran at a fairly slow recovery pace for .5 mile and then tried to run at an 8:00 mm pace for .5 mile.
