Personal:
David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life! Favorite Blogs: |

| | This is the first time in about 2 weeks that I went running. I've been dealing with shin splints. Boo. I think it's from when I ran 8 miles, basically on concrete the whole time. They've been a bugger though! I've been riding my bike and going to aerobics still. I think that's helped me to keep my endurance and cardio in check. My run was pretty slow today but I survived and my legs felt pretty good....although I was having knee pain..why in the world that happened is beyond me!

| | I'm SSOOO happy that my legs cooperated on my run today. I have missed the last 3 weeks of long runs so I definitely needed to get this one in. I was supposed to just do 14 but since I missed 18 last week I decided to go 15. I probably should have done more and I felt like I could have. My sil was watching Grant so I felt bad for being gone so long. Still super duper slow but I am trying! 1-9:46 2-9:52 3-9:53 4-9:38 5-9:58 6-10:05 7-9:53 8-9:56 9-9:51 10-10:00 11-9:53 12-9:51 13-10:02 14-10:23 15-9:45 |

| | This is supposed to be my longest week of running-I hope I can do it! I went out for a run this morning and half way through realized I needed to stop by the store for some items for aerobics so I did 2.5 this morning and then the other half during lunch. 1-9:34 2-9:29 3-8:57 4-8:19 5-8:07 I hate some fritos for lunch (gross right?) and I had some heartburn on the run. I really tried to push myself and I'm happy with my times. AP: 8:54

| | Wow I just realized all my dates are wrong for May! I think I entered them in a week earlier than normal. Oh well! I had hopes to run this run yesterday but I was just too tired to get out of bed. It was a chilly morning but made for a nice run. 1-9:29 2-9:41 3-9:33 4-9:37 5-9:28 6-9:22 7-9:44 8-9:15 9-9:24 10-8:55 AP: 9:28 I'm serious about getting my eating back on track! I know, I sound like a broken record! |

| | Wow, what a crazy run! If I was every a POW I would imagine this is what they would have me do. David, Grant and I all went up to Barr lake. The trail around the lake is 8.9 miles so I was planning on running it twice. Well first off it was too hot for me to be running. I didn't sleep well the last few nights and my eating wasn't in top form either! I was just plain tired! On the trail I saw....6 deer, rabbits, squirrels, a dead duck, a dead skunk, one too many dead birds aannndd......A SNAKE!!! Oh my goodness I probably jumped higher than MJ and about wet my pants! It was huge too! I'm not talking just a little measly stick of a snake, this baby was inches around and looong. Ew! I came within inches of stepping on it. I sprinted like there was no tomorrow. I can't even talk about it without getting goosebumps! Then there was lots of mud, the trail had tons of split offs which just made me confused. Anyway after 12 miles I told David that I wanted to just run on the road back home. He was such a sport and brought me a snack and some more gaterade. I'm really frustrated with training right now. I know there are tons of people that don't ever run 4 miles, let alone 20 but it was just frustrating. I did 17 miles in a row and then David needed to get back to our neighborhood so we drove 15 mins home and I did the other 3 right then. I guess I had a little break. *I hit the lap button so everything is kind of off. I also left the watch running while I tied my shoes or stretched, sometimes I would stop it when I would meet David and grab a drink. 3:32:14 1-9:47 2-9:41 3-10:03 4-9:48 5-10:03 6-9:55 7-10:19 8-9:49 9-9:50 10-9:50 11-10:08 12-10:24 13-10:24 14-11:41 15-10:44 16-11:31 17-11:21 18-12:27 19-11:46 20-11:08 AP: 10:33 |

| | Got up early and tried to get in 8 miles, David had to be at the airport by 7:30 so I didn't quite make 8 miles. I am so slow at running! It feels great to get my run in though. I started this "8 week challenge" with some ladies from church. I've been eating much much better and feel great so far! 1-10:32 (spent 30 sec fixing my shoe) 2-9:45 3-9:56 4-9:39 5-9:53 6-9:46 7-9:41 AP: 9:56 |

| | Bad run! I bought some new shoes and I ended up getting a blister during this run-oh it was awful! I had to walk a lot and that worries me about the race. 1-10:18 2-10:16 3-10:33 4-10:32 5-11:03 6-10:51 |

I needed to run 12 but managed 7. My blister is still bothering me and then the weather started to get colder on my run so I came back early. It felt great to run in Craig and see all the pretty green grass and clear skies. 1-9:22 2-9:55 3-8:53 4-9:57 5-9:18 6-9:39 7-9:23 |
