I am just trying to get better at running and be more consistent.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run a marathon in 2011 and one day run Boston....I might have to wait until I'm in the 85 year old division to qualify but gosh darn it I will qualify!  

Personal:

 David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. 

I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life!

Today I ran 1 mile on the treadmill and did 11 miles on the bike which equals out to about 3 miles of running....I think. It felt good to run again but I didn't want to overdo it with my legs. Maybe tomorrow. I also lifted 3 sets of 10.

Ran 2 miles outside in awful humid weather! 20 minute Biggest Loser Cardio DVD.

Got up before work and ran about 2 miles outside. Once again I'm not sure how far I ran but I did go for 22 minutes so I'm assuming it was about 2. It felt nice to get out in the cooler weather.

Ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill at 10:31 pace. I picked it up a little right at the end. I think I'm afraid to go faster because last time I tried that my shins started to hurt (and still do) but I also really want to improve my times.

Ran 5 miles on treadmill....first 3 miles at 10:31 pace 4th mile at 10:20 then back up to 10:31 for numero cinco. I felt really good as if I could go faster but I also just want to work on distance for right now. I'm in need of a new computer so that I can download some new tunes to the ipod. I mean I can only listen to CCR so many times.

Ran 4 miles on the treadmill 10:31 pace on the first 3 and then 10:20 pace on the last mile. David bought me a bike for my b-day so I'm excited to start riding and I hope that will help keep me in better shape. I'm a little nervous since I haven't been on a bike in the last 16 years!

Took the new bike out for a spin with hubby tonight. We only did about 4 miles because it was starting to get dark.

I have a long shift at work tomorrow and I'm supposed to do my "long run" tomorrow. I guess if I have to move it back to Saturday that will be fine. I hope to get atleast 1-2 miles in tomorrow night if anything. I'm really wanting to start running everyday.

I worked an 8 hour shift (on my feet) and REALLY did not feel like going for a run. We had dinner plans with friends tonight but I decided to sqweeze in 6 miles before. I'm sure I stunk at Chili's. Anyway the run was awful but I knew I would be happy that I went.
