Short-Term Running Goals: I am just trying to get better at running and be more consistent.
Utah Valley Marathon, June 11 Long-Term Running Goals:
Run a marathon in 2011 and one day run Boston....I might have to wait until I'm in the 85 year old division to qualify but gosh darn it I will qualify!
Personal:
David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life! Favorite Blogs: |

| | I ran 9 miles out by the lake which I was quickly reminded that I need to run earlier before all the heat and humidity get to me. David rode his bike and was my little "waterboy" which was helpful. My time was 1:19:05 which is a little less than a 9 min mile so I'm improving I guess. Overall the run was pretty good, I just felt sluggish during the whole thing. |

| | WORST RUN EVER!!!!! I started out too late and in the mountain weather I was dying! I had to have Dave pick me up and take me out to my moms to run on the treadmill. I had to stop and get off every mile. I would lay down and then regain energy. I threw up later that day....needed more water and cooler air. |

I was planning on doing a 10 mile run....somehow it ended up only being 1.5 miles. Ugh! It was way too muggy out. I'm getting nervous about this race and thinking maybe I should train a little longer for a different one. |

| | Ran 9 miles outside! I left at like 6:20 am and I was still fairly sticky with humidity. I'm really starting to consider pulling out of this race. Those 2 weeks in Colorado really got to me. |

This morning I was NOT feeling like getting out of bed to run outside (after Saturdays run I was done with running forever!) but luckily it was cool outside and I had some fun songs on the ipod. It was actually one of my favorite runs in a long time. I'm thinking about doing a half marathon next weekend instead of this weekend. Plus there is a concert this Friday night that we want to go to and if I ran on Saturday that would not be a good mix. I hope I can train hard and eat better this week.

| | I think I ran a little over 3 miles this morning. I'm planning on doing the half this Saturday because it starts earlier than the one next weekend and with it being so humid here I figure the earlier the better. Anyway the run was good and I'm just trying to find some new music to listen to for the race. Any suggestions? They will have live bands throughout the course but I think I'd like to have my own music to motivate me. |
