I am just trying to get better at running and be more consistent.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run a marathon in 2011 and one day run Boston....I might have to wait until I'm in the 85 year old division to qualify but gosh darn it I will qualify!  

Personal:

 David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. 

I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life!

Went out around 9:00 with Grant in the stroller. It was kind of windy at first and I kept worrying about how cold/hot he was. Around mile 2 he finally fell asleep. Boy howdy it was hard for me to run today. I'm not sure if was the wind, time of day or what, atleast I went out though.

Today wasn't my best run. I started at 11 and it rained most of the time. It wasn't too cold, sometimes it was even borderline hot. Still stuck in the 9's but increasing my miles.

I bought new shoes yesterday! I LOVE them! It was so nice to actually have someone look at my foot and the way I run and to try on about 15 different pairs to find the perfect shoe! Sure we won't be eating for a month or two but hey I have new shoes!!! It was really rainy this morning, I was glad I went out before David had to go to work or else there was no way I could have ran with Grant in this weather.

Late night last night, late morning today. I wasn't planning on running anyway so I'm happy with 3 miles. I'm doing some toning videos and walking around with Grant today too.

I felt sluggish the beginning of the run but around 3.5 miles I started feeling better;) I know I say this all the time but I just wish I could run faster, I literally felt like jello today.

This was a really fun race. There was a big turn out too-3,185 people running downtown. I was hoping to run under 45 and I DID!!! I felt like I had too much energy after the race and that I could have pushed myself a little harder in the middle of the run. I was afraid I started too fast so on mile 2 I slowed down and now I'm second guessing that decision. Oh well. I'll be back next year! Oh and it was FREEZING!!!! Poor Grant was an ice cube until David went and bought him some warmer clothes! We're good parents huh? ;) Oh oh I almost forgot....I left my ipod in the stroller. Stink. I had to use 3 different cell phones before I finally got a hold of David to have him meet me on the road somewhere. Thank goodness for music, that's all I have to say!!!!

Grant has been sleeping in which is nice but it also makes it harder to know when to go out for a morning run. I went out while David was home for lunch. Holy moly it's cold! I tried to go faster so that he could get back to work.

It was too rainy today so I had to take Grant to the gym. Yuck! I hate coming in and seeing him chew on a toy from the day care. Ew. Anyway I was supposed to run 5 miles but my side started to hurt so I only got in 4 miles. Around a 8:53 mile.

My knees hurt SO bad today. I had to keep stopping/slowing down and stretch. I can't figure out why they hurt so bad...maybe I needed to warm-up and stretch a little betterNot a good run by any means.
