Personal:
David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life! Favorite Blogs: |

| | Ate a bunch of junk and didn't feel like running. Took Grant in the stroller for '2' miles, he was acting so good that I went 3, then 4, then 5. Good thing he was having fun or else I would have stopped earlier than 5! Saw a pet turtle when we got home, he loved it! 1-10:03 2-9:49 3-10:01 4-10:10 5-10:06 |

| | I knew this wasn't going to be a good run from the beginning of the day! I needed to run 10 miles but as soon as I woke up my body was just tired and sore for some reason. I decided to just sleep instead. Around 2 pm I thought I would go out for a run tonight. My shoes were kind of bothering me as I started and during mile 3 I was having some chest pain that forced me to walk. It was starting to get dark and I was just tired and heavy feeling. I managed 4 miles and I'm actually ok with the fact that I probably will not get a long run in this week. Tomorrow I'm going to Winterpark with some friends for the night and then Saturday I am busy with ward parties and such. Hopefully I'll have some time and energy to get in a good run tomorrow morning. I doubt it though, I'm eating ice-cream tonight:) 1-8:58 2-9:39 3-9:44 4-10:36 |

| | Got my 10 miles in....it wasn't pretty but at least I made it to double digits! I ran 8 by myself then came back at picked up Grant in the stroller for the last 2. I was having some pretty annoying chest pain, the same as last night. I had to walk part of the way but I'm counting it! Just ignore the super slow poke times! 1-9:58 2-9:57 3-10:17 4-10:23 5-10:03 6-9:49 7-10:17 8-11:07 (walked some) 9-11:41 (walked some) 10.6-10:47 |

| | I'm not sure if it's the weather or what but my knee started aching about the last .5 mile and I ended up walking most of the way home. Hopefully it will be fine for the race on Sat. 1-9:29 2-9:06 3-10:38 |

Halloween Half (13.1 Miles) 02:03:40, Place overall: 1220, Place in age division: 139 | | I've been looking forward to this race for a while. It went better than I thought in some ways and worse in some ways. According to my training I was shooting for 2:10. Really I was wanting to break 2:00 but I knew that was impossible. I ended up running 2:03 and I'm fairly confident that I could have broke 2:00 but I had some *ahem* issues come up. Also my hips and legs were really tight and I had to pull over and stretch TWICE! Overall it was a fun race. I loved being in Provo again and running through the canyon. The weather was perfect and I saw some friends and also ended up running with an ex-boyfriends sister for most of the race. Random but fun. I'm fairly certain that the course was off because my garmin (and others) said 12.80. Oh well I'm happy with that! 1-9:27 (this was actually 8:27 because I walked for the first min due to how they had us line up) 2-8:24 3-8:09- felt good even though I was talking the whole time 4-8:29 5-8:39 6-9:25- Brenda and I kind of lost each other and my legs were super tight and aching 7-9:44 8-9:51 9-10:06- needed to find a restroom, felt like walking but kept going 10-10:20- yep still needed to find it 11-10:23- found one and waited and waited and watched the time pass.... 12-10:01 13-9:33 - just wanted to pass as many people as I could It was a busy race but I'm really happy that I did it. Yes I am super sore and walk like an ostrich but that's ok! |
