Personal:
David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life! Favorite Blogs: |

| | This is the longest I have ran since Feb/March. I was really wanting to just bag this run and do it tomorrow but I knew I would feel good if I just did it today. What a cold cold morning, it felt great! I was kind of disappointed with my times, I never know if I should push harder or slow my pace and be able to run longer, I did feel like I could have kept going for another mile or so. I guess I'm nervous of getting injured. Back in 2004 I ran the Freedom Festival 10k in 54:07 (and I thought that was slow!) and then I'm not sure what my time was in 2005. Today was the first time I timed myself and I did it in 58:29 so that was a little frustrating. Oh well. I guess it gives me something to work on. 1-10:13 (i stopped and tied my shoe with the clock running....i'm sure that took AT LEAST 3 minutes!) 2- 9:28 3-9:16 4-9:34 5-9:35 6-9:30 |

| | Late start this morning (thankfully it is cool enough out!) so I had to push Grant in the stroller. I ran 3.5 miles over to the park that our playgroup was at today. Grant fell asleep for a little while but woke up once he heard all of his friends. We walked another .50 miles home. I went to a strength training class yesterday and oh man I am feeling it today! My whole body is sore!!! 1-10:39 2-9:26 3-9:58 |

| | Grant and I spent the weekend at my parents. I decided to try my 6 mile run on their dirt road. The elevation is higher and there were a few hills but I managed to complete it and actually really really enjoyed the run. 1-9:09 2-9:58 (hills!) 3-9:38 4-9:32 5-9:51 (hill) 6-8:04 I need to start pushing my pace a little (ok a LOT) more! 59:08 |

| | Ran around Reunion while pushing Grant. Nice cool morning. Kept the pace slow, not sure why but I am scared to try running faster for fear of an injury. 1-10:52 2-10:35 3-10:19 4-10:22 |

| | Went running with my friend Miriam today. It was good to have somebody there to push me a little more. It's hard to run. It's hard to run while talking. It's hard to run while talking AND pushing a stroller....in the snow, uphill. 1- 10:09 2-9:34 3-10:05 .57-5:17 |

I needed to run 7 miles today but I've had a hard time sleeping the last few night so my body was just wiped out! I'm hoping to run either tonight or in the morning. 1-9:40 2-9:38 PM- Went out to start and finish my 7 miles. This was a killer run for me. My shins were hurting off and on until about mile 4.5 and then they ended up being fine. Around mile 4 I saw a man watering his lawn and I stopped and asked if I could take a drink from the hose-I realize that's weird but I was really thirsty! I'm very disappointed with my times but I'm happy that I was able to get out and finish this run. 1-10:03 2-9:48 3-9:58 4-9:58 5-10:28 6-10:39 (ugh) 7-10:06

| | I needed to run yesterday but my legs were still tired from Saturday's hike. It was a cool morning today-perfect for a run. My right shin and left knee were bothering me just a little but nothing too bad. Major stretching today. I'm hoping to ride the bike for a little while tonight too. 1-10:53 ( I had to tie both of my shoes) 2-9:54 3-9:30 4-9:14 .5-4:36 |

| | I did it! It wasn't pretty but I did it! My hammies were tight most of the run and I felt like I was hunched over a lot. I had to stop back home and use the bathroom at mile 4 and then mile 8 I was having major side aches the whole time. I didn't have enough to drink yesterday and my eating hasn't been very well. I need to stay focused and be better about what foods go in my body. I'm having a hard time pacing myself. I always have extra energy after runs, which is good but I just feel like I could run faster, yet I'm nervous about starting out too fast and not being able to finish. 1-10:05 2-10:29 (stretched) 3-10:13 4-10:03 5-9:59 6-10:26 7-9:44 8-10:21 |

I was able to go running with Dustin. He ended up doing 10 and I managed 4. It was fun to run with someone and he had some great stories to tell. We ran 2 up to the top of a hill and then he kept going while I turned around. I ended up walking a little on the way back to my parents but I fel pretty good overall.

I had a rough weekend of throwing up and just feeling weak. I missed yesterdays run so I knew I needed to get out there today. I was planning on running 3 and seeing how I felt. I ended up doing 5 and felt like I could have ran more or picked up the pace or something. I love the changing weather! Still not fast, my legs are just so darn tight, but at least I was able to get out and run. I'm trying really hard to eat good this week! Hum maybe I should rethink that caramel apple sitting on the table;)

This run felt really good. I mapped it out last night which helped a lot-I usually waste time just running around random streets so this was helpful. Slight slight pain in left knee and shin but ended up feeling fine. Time to stretch stretch stretch!!! 1-9:44 2-9:34 3-9:52 4-9:46 5-10:30 (tied my shoe....with frozen hands!) 6-9:35 7-9:42 8-9:28 9-8:43 (woohoo) total: 1:27
