Short-Term Running Goals: I am just trying to get better at running and be more consistent.
Utah Valley Marathon, June 11 Long-Term Running Goals:
Run a marathon in 2011 and one day run Boston....I might have to wait until I'm in the 85 year old division to qualify but gosh darn it I will qualify!
Personal:
David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life! Favorite Blogs: |

Fall is sure making its way here! I could see my breath today! Early morning run-Grant thought it would be funny to wake up at 3am....not cool.

Ran early this morning, cool morning and it felt good to get my run over with! I still can't shake these 9 minute miles. Boo. I'm also trying to eat better.

I wish I had a running trail close to my house that I can take the stroller on. Since he's still little I'm supposed to run on smooth surfaces...ha those don't exist here! Anyway I made the mistake of taking him on a run during his awake time and he just was NOT having it so I had to call it quits! Bummer. Maybe I'll be able to run tonight but I doubt it...gooo cougs!

I was able to sleep in for a little and then headed out for a run. We had pizza on Sat so I figured I'd better try to run longer.

Went running with Grant this morning. The trail was either cool or hot but it was nice to get out. I just wish I was faster but I guess I need to focus on my miles first!

I love when I set out to do a certain amount of miles and end up doing more...doesn't usually work out like that! It felt really good to get out and run before Dave left for work today.

I can't say this enough...I love running early in the morning! It's so nice to just have it over with and not worry all day about it! I didn't go as far as I planned but went further than I thought.

I woke up 15 minutes later than planned so I decided to do 2 faster miles. Well my body wasn't wanting to go fast so I managed to do my usual 3.25. I felt really tight and tired.

Didn't really feel like going 5 today but knew I needed to and that I would feel good if I did. Once I got started I felt better and around 3 miles I was feeling really good and could have gone longer than 5 but David and Grant were outside waiting for me to come take care of Grant so I stopped.

David left too early this morning for me to get a run in. I left Grant with my neighbor (the streets here are too bumpy for him) and ran 3.5, I was worried about how Grant was acting the whole time!

Why must Grant feel the need to get up at 6 when my alarm is set for 6:30? Oh well....I'm a little shocked that I actually ran 6 miles. That was the goal today so when I ran 6.2 that was just the cherry on top! David went and played football this morning so I needed to be back before 8. It was a nice cool morning, perfect for a run....or my bed;) 57:32
