Personal:
David and I have been married since 2003, we've lived in AZ, UT (BYU, Health Science), WI and now we're back to our roots in CO. We have a little boy, Grant, who was born in 2009. I have never been a runner but like to pretend I am! I'm currently teaching aerobics in my church group and working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I'm pretty much obsessed with Full House, DQ Blizzards and Bajio. Sadly I don't have enough of these in my life! Favorite Blogs: |

| | I started out a little too fast, I kept my pace at a comfortable 8:41. 26:50 for the total. Did Biggest Loser bootcamp after and I will probably play the wii for FHE tonight. I still need to get a core workout in today too! |

| | I needed to run 5 miles today but I was JUST NOT feeling it. I managed to get in 4 miles and had to walk a little too. 8:41 pace for the most part, I tried to do some speed work but didn't succeed! |

| | Biggest Loser 'last chance workout' dvd. Wowsers! Did another 30 minute dvd, stretching and core work. |

| | Slept through my alarm which meant I had to bring Grant with me to the gym today. I always feel so rushed when I bring him and I feel bad because they just stick him in a high chair and throw all this food in his face (probably so he'll get big and NEED a gym pass!) anyway the run went well. Things have been super busy this week and I've been baking up a storm for RS meetings, parties, baby showers....I guess that is why I needed to run this week! 1-8:34-8:00 2-8:34 3-8:34 4-8:34-8:00 I wish I would have time to run longer, I felt pretty good today. |

| | The treadmills stop after 30 minutes! 30 minutes!!!! Rather annoying if you ask me! 1-8:34 2-8:34 3-8:34 4-8:34 5-8:20-7:53 6-8:20-7:53 7-8:20-7:03 Felt really good all day. I signed up for an 8k for next Sat, I haven't really ran outside so we'll see what the damage is! |

ALL of the treadmills were being used so I ran around the indoor track. I felt like I was flying! 14 laps=1 mile and do you think I could keep track of how many laps I did? I was within at least 5 I would say. Anyway it was an enjoyable shorter run. Oh and it is dumping snow right now so we'll see how things with the race this Saturday go. I also did the 'Last Chance workout' before going to the gym and then did it again with David after dinner. Worked on core too. |

| | Ran at the gym during David's lunch break. I must have had a big lunch because I was NOT feeling well AT ALL. I was hoping to run 4 but managed 2 on the treadmill, I was disappointed when I got off so I forced myself to run 1 mile (probably more because I get distracted while running around) on the indoor track. I'm getting really annoyed with the 30 minute limit on ALL cardio machines. Ugh! |

| | ouch!!! I went to the gym last night (Feb 11) and now I'm sitting here icing my knees. Bad sign! I was supposed to run 12 but my nike+ was a little off and I ended up only running 11. I didn't realize this until I got home....disappointing. I am going to take today (Friday) off and hopefully the run tomorrow will be ok. |

I'm glad I got out and ran this race but I don't think I'll do it next year. I have decided that I really like races that have you start up by your pace rather than everyone just smashed into one line. I basically walked the first .5 mile it felt like. The course was pretty but there were MULTIPLE areas that I was just blocked for long periods of time and couldn't get around people....excuses? Yes, but I still felt like the trail needed to be wider. Also there wasn't a good spot for spectators (who would want to watch a race in the winter???) which made for a boring run! Oh and I did a big no-no and forgot to stop my Garmin so my time was off, I'm just going with the time they posted on-line. It was a really pretty day out and I was glad that the wind wasn't blowing! David, Grant and I went out for a really yummy lunch after so that was fun! 1-8:42 2-8:12 3-8:31 4-8:19 5-8:18 |

| | 8:34 pace. I didn't feel well yesterday and apparently I'm not much better today....I had to get off the treadmill and sit down because I was seeing black spots. I'm glad I got SOME miles in but still a little disappointing. I think I'll try to take a nap and eat a nice lunch today. |

| | I didn't realize the gym closed early on Friday nights so I was only able to get in 5 miles. I played around with the times because I was needing to get out of there faster. |

I am SO bored to tears at the gym. I was hoping to run 13 today and that obviously didn't happen. I think it's a combo of eating too much, and not sleeping enough the past week. Hopefully I can go back tonight and get some more miles in. I am bored on the treadmill and doing 182 laps around the gym just doesn't get me that excited! It's been snowing all day and fairly cold, I think a lot of snow will just turn to ice by tomorrow. I'm hoping for a little motivation to just land on my doorstep anytime now! Ok I just did 5 more, I didn't have time (again) to get in those extra 3 but hey at least I got in some more! 3 on the track and 2 on the tm. 8:27-7:03 pace. My hammies were KILLING me this morning. I convinced David to give em' a little rub but they are still super tight. I'm planning on just stretching stretching stretching all tonight and tomorrow. |

| | I was just planning on running 4 today and 7 in the morning. As I was running I felt amazing so figured I might as well run 7 today and just get it over with, let's be honest I probably won't feel up to running that in the morning! It was a great run on the tm and I feel very energetic. 1-3- 8:27 4-6- 8:13 (a few 7:30 in there) 7-8:00 I also did a dvd workout, light weights and abs. |

| | 1-2.5- 8:20 2.5-4- 8:13 felt pretty good on this run, probably could have gone faster but didn't. i plan on doing some core workouts and light weights today too. hopefully my run tomorrow goes ok-it is supposed to snow so i'm debating if i should run inside or out. |

| | Man I don't know why I have such a hard time with long runs. It was clear out today so I decided to run outside for 13 miles. It felt SO great to be out and my run was very enjoyable until mile 8. I started to get this weird pain on top of my foot. The other day I ran in my old shoes and my ankle/foot kind of hurt a little and when I started out this morning it kind of hurt at first but then was fine...until mile 8. I could barely walk home! I've had ice on it for a while now, hopefully I can get back out and finish those last 5 miles either outside or on the treadmill. I feel like I am constantly finding excuses...bored, knees hurt, too cold, too humid, tired etc. I wish I could run a long run in...well one long run rather than 2 shorter ones. 1-9:05 2-8:52 3-8:55 4-8:37 5-8:45 6-8:48 7-8:53 8-9:03 |
